Sorry to hear about the support. I was briefly thinking of riding but other plans got in the way. This ride has been around for many years (I have a poster from 1992 on my wall) but over the years the organizers and supporters has changed many times. I remember when the ride started at the Rose Garden on the west side of downtown and the routes wove through Tyler past the beautiful azaleas before heading out of town. Even the Beast hill moved from north of Tyler to southeast.

Quite poor road support. No volunteers at critical turn points. Talked to quite a few veteran riders, like myself, that missed turn offs due to lack of markings or no support people. Probably won't do this ride again, even though the scenery was quite nice.
