January 1st is on a Sunday this year, so we want to make it easy for you to enjoy our ride and your normal Sunday routine. As result, we will offer 2 start times: 11am and 1pm. Please indicate your preferred start time on your registration form.
Great Routes

We offer routes of 15, 28 and 40 miles. Come on out and enjoy a nice ride in the country. Break Points along the way, some even have indoor plumbing.
Comfy Start Site

Our start site is the Community Center in Blue Ridge, located at 200 W. Tilton Street, Blue Ridge, TX 75424. It is warm and cozy, with indoor plumbing, a coffee pot and plenty of room for eating and sharing stories with your friends.
Day of Ride Registration

We do offer registration on the day of the ride. It is $25.
Additional Information

The Tradition Returns
For several years, new friends and old friends have been joining me for a nice bike ride in the country – with some black-eyed peas and cornbread for dessert. This year we are bringing back our same traditional riding and eating experience, with a bit of a twist or two.

Just what kind of ride is this?
We should make it clear that this is not a big time bike rally with a full blown production behind it. This is a simple ride, more like a glorified club ride. We have nice routes with break points that are stocked with fluids and snacks. We have a few friendly volunteers to help take care of you on the road, and some even nicer ones who have cooked black-eyed peas and cornbread for you to enjoy after the ride. My Mom will even be there to make you feel at home. So come on out and join us for a pleasant ride to give the new year a healthy start.

Online Registration Closing Date Thursday, November 10, 2011 @ 11:59 PM US/Central

The Vista Ridge FFA Alumni, hosts of the annual Cow Patty Classic Benefit Bike Ride, are very excited to invite you to join us for the second annual HALF CALF Benefit Bike Ride. Just like the Cow Patty Classic, this ride will start and end at Vista Ridge High School and follow the same route, only this ride includes only HALF the distance of the Cow Patty Classic. Get it “Half Calf!” Oh dear…how we crack ourselves up!

However, we decided to add the 75 mile route back in, just for fun, for those looking for a nice, fully supported ride at a bit of a longer distance. All routes – 25, 50 & 75 mile – feature moderate to intermediate level courses with rolling hills and beautiful scenery.

This is a fully supported ride for riders at any stage of training with multiple rest stops (with snacks & sport drinks), clear directional signage, and bicycle mechanics. And of course, dont forget a complimentary ride t-shirt and goodie bag! T-shirts and goodie bags can only be guaranteed for those who pre-register by November 4, 2011. After that date, they will be available on a first come, first serve basis.

Our event website will soon be updated with pertinent ride information and contains photos of our previous Cow Patty Classic Benefit Bike Ride held in April, 2011. Please click the link below to view the event website.

Routes will have a stagger start beginning at 8:00AM. Pre-registered cyclist check-in will begin at 7:00AM. On-site Registration will begin at 6:30AM. Entry fees are $30.00 per cyclist registered by November 4, 2010. $35.00 per cyclist registered on November 5th and after. Cyclists can register the day of the ride for a $40.00 registration fee.
