THE VENUE and this RACE IS LIKE NO OTHER IN TEXAS!

The course is a 33 mile loop of scenic paved roads completely closed to traffic. There are challenging climbs and descents. The course is entirely on Fort Hood, a US Army military base, and as such, all participants may be required to sign a military event participation waiver and are subject to military rules and regulations. Free-range wild cattle live in the area of the event and may present themselves on the course without warning. This will be like no other Texas racing experience.

Saturday morning we will again have the National Anthem just before the P1 start, please be aware and give the proper respect.

The flyer contains much, detailed, information on subjects such as:

Texas State Road Race weekend.
Andy Hollinger here from The Racing Post. I’d like to personally invite you and your group to the State Road Race weekend on October 10/11 in Copperas Cove, TX on post at Fort Hood. The Road Races will be on an incredible 33 mile course, COMPLETELY CLOSED TO TRAFFIC – that’s right no center line and no cars. The course is simply the most impressive championship course I’ve ever seen. …

Once a year, the University of Texas Police Department holds an auction of unclaimed or seized bicycles from the UT campus. Viewing will begin at 5:00 p.m. with the silent/quiet auction to start at 5:30 p.m. with staggered finish times. Bicycles will be sold as-is … View and test ride sample bikes, browse custom options, and have your questions answered about the bike building process and the features of bikes truly built for transportation. Come out and see the bikes …
