A bicyclist was run over and killed by an 18-wheeler in northwest Harris County early Saturday, authorities said. Because of mechanical troubles, the bicyclist was stopped in the 14100 block of Stuebner Airline around 2 a.m. The cyclist, who was wearing a helmet, was then struck in the head by the turn signal on the trailer of an 18-wheeler, knocking the unidentified person to the ground…

So, doesn’t that sound like a PERFECT day to go riding your bicycle to the Great State Fair of Texas? See the details of the ride on the related story on this site. If you live in North Texas, and you don’t go to the State Fair of Texas …

This does not bode well for the mountain bike trails. It’ll be a long long time before they are back in pedal mode. So, that has been my exciting Saturday night, so far. A beautiful sunset, a bike ride. And a lot of bugs. …

The charming Texas town of Hillsboro is recognized for its outlet malls, rich cultural history and natural resources. As a way of showcasing its diversity and juxtaposing modern with antiquity, Hillsboro is hosting the Cotton Pickin’ Fair … A bike ride that allows riders to work off all that BBQ on 10, 26, 40, 54, or 66 mile routes that cover scenic Hillsboro trails. Functional/non-functional, eccentric, whimsical, and flavorful arts and crafts made with lots of love, …

He said he had heard about the bike ride and sponsored my clinic visit and some antibiotic eye drops. I immediately put a few drops in and went to meet up with the team 60 miles in at our sponsored lunch at Chipotle. We’ve had a couple lunches at … We arrived 20 miles later in Arlington, TX with a police escort and a nice welcome. Here at Arlington City Hall, the mayor proclaimed today as Push America Day and we were treated to really nice smoothies and protein bars. …

SAN ANGELO, Texas — I danged sure better be invited to Randy Rangel’s daughter’s college graduation.

By my calculations, my investment in little Cee’s education falls somewhere between four years of textbooks and an associate degree.

Randy is the owner of Randy’s Bike & Run Shop — and of a goodly percentage of my disposable income.

In other words, triathlons ain’t cheap. Consider yourself warned.

The Big Man failed to alert me of this four years ago, when he urged me to get a bike and start racing. So, I researched and searched and bought a good, barely-used, entry-level tri bike — for a reasonable (believe it or not) $1,200. I was set. …

Unfortunately, none of us have extensive bicycle experience or friends who know anything about the technical aspects of trials. As far as I know, trials doesn’t exist in Austin. So I decided to build this journal as a bottom up guide … Location: austin texas. Posts: 8. i miss my dumpster bike, i used to have a diamondback of some sort, now im stuck with a redline rival for a trials bike(with a 44-10 gear ratio). im in austin too, it should be nice to see someone doing …
