Having recovered from the ankle injury I sustained this summer, I was able to ride in the 2008 Lance Armstrong LiveStrong Challenge ride recently here in Austin. Over 4,000 riders assembled in near darkness at Dripping Springs High School, and set out amidst a festive array of supporters on rides up to 95 miles long. I was blessed by having family members greet me later at the finish line, but not before enjoying some of the amazing countryside along the way.

There is no comparison. I used to do several charity rides, but now I only do one. Since it is my job to ask people for money every day, I find it a little tiring to ask them for money so I can participate in charity rides. So I decided some time ago to limit myself to just one, and that one is the Livestrong Challenge.

Great pictures and Jason writes about his weekend in Texas.

They have been on the road for over 10 days now. This is part of a long journey that started back on October 14th in Halifax, Nova Scotia and will finish in just a couple more days in Austin, Texas. That equates to over 2600 miles for these bikers.
