I feel, if he can do it, if Rodney (fellow MS Ambassador – rider with MS http://no2ms.wordpress.com/) can do it, we can surely grow this ride to be the biggest and the best in Texas. So, please, get the word out, bring in your friends …

That’s what Texas feels like this time of year. This morning was chilly, foggy and damp. I started out before sunrise and rode in. Here are a few scenes from my commute. Below: My new headlight that puts out 255 lumens is a big …

Texas showed North America we could do a real mtb race in ’04 and ’05…its time to remind everyone again. JHK rode really small tires and didn’t flat. Lance had big tires and did. After Wed’s tire shred, I went with the sturdiest UST …

His opening comments: “I rode in the Turkey Roll the Saturday before Thanksgiving. It is a 25 or 35 or 76 mile ride around Denton, Texas, organized as a fundraiser by the local Kiwanis Club.

With temps around 40 and gray skies, if I hadn’t committed to do this ride, I probably wouldn’t have been on a bike that morning. I don’t have all kinds of fancy biking gear, so I made due with what I’ve got:”

The 26th Turkey Roll will be like riding with an old friend and a new one at the same time. From 2006, we have changed two of our three routes. While the short course will be unchanged, the middle distance will remain the same, only this year we will run it in the opposite direction. The big change in the ride will be the new 71-mile Long Course.

Again, all three courses will begin and end at the North Texas Fairgrounds (Corner of University Drive/ Highway 380 @ Carroll Blvd.) right behind the Kroger Grocery Store. The physical address of the Fair-grounds for those wishing to do a Google map is 2217 N. Carroll Blvd.
