You could drive from Texarkana in northeast Texas to Chicago, Illinois on the shores of the Great Lakes in about the same time it would take you to get from Texarkana to El Paso, on Texas\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 southwestern corner.<\/p>\n<p>So when organizers designed the Rise Across Texas Challenge bike ride, they naturally had to give it Texas-sized dimensions. For those of you new to San Angelo, Burma is a favorite local ride that has a number of short but moderately steep hills. It\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s a great natural interval session \u00e2\u20ac\u00a6 work the up hills hard and then recover on the descents. Most people start their Burma ride in or at the edge of San Angelo, and ride Arden Road out west of town until they reach the Burma turn off.
