Thousands of Bike Enthusiasts Gather for Island Ride Out and Bike Expo<\/a><\/h2>\n

Galveston was packed with thousands of cyclists and bike enthusiasts of all ages who trekked to the island for the 2022 Island Ride Out and Bike Expo.<\/p>\n

Volunteers and organizations assembled and distributed 800 bikes to the children of Uvalde in an effort to give each of them a "sense of normalcy, freedom and fun."<\/p>\n

UVALDE, Texas \u2014 Around 800 children in Uvalde received a free bike on Saturday after months of planning and fundraising.<\/p>\n

The donation was made possible through the efforts of the cycling community, including Austin’s, along with Lance Armstrong, Mellow Johnny’s Bike Shop and others. A total of $270,000 was raised for the project.<\/p>\n
