Cyclists push for passage of Houston Bike Plan

HOUSTON – Bike advocates are pushing the city to make Houston’s streets safer after two cyclists died the week of the Super Bowl.
They want them to approve and adopt the Houston Bike Plan, a roughly $500 million long-range master plan finalized in June 2016 after months of community input.

Group of cyclists struck by car in NW Austin

Three cyclists were injured when they were struck by a vehicle in northwest Austin on Saturday.
Austin-Travis County EMS said the crash was reported just before noon. Three cyclists were struck by a vehicle in the 10300 block of North FM 620 near Foundation Road.
ATCEMS transported two of the cyclists to St David’s Medical Center in Round Rock with potentially serious injuries. One cyclist refused treatment. All of the cyclists were males.
The cause of the crash is unknown.

I can’t say that I’m surprised at all because back in 2014 I predicted that San Antonio wouldn’t make the list and Austin would be on the top 10 of that list. Well Austin is at number 7 in 2016.
