About Texbiker.net

Texbiker.net covers the news, events and resources for those interested in Texas bicycling.

My bicycling passion was rekindled in 1979 with a Huffy bicycle from Woolco. From early rides around my neighborhood my enthusiasm grew to tackle my unsupported first century. From there I discovered organized rides all over Texas, races and mountain bikes. Many bikes and miles later the enthusiasm is still there.

Thanks to my late wife, Hazel Marie, for her support over the many years, miles and rides.

My primary bike is the Cervelo Caledonia Rival AXS below. My titanium bike is the Lynskey Helix titanium. My newest bike is a Canyon Endurace CF 7 Rival eTap.

The ride begins at 8:00am.
Bring your family and friends. Come join the thousands of other cyclists for a two-wheeled adventure as we celebrate life.

Additional Information

4 Mile Route Our NEW 4 mile route is designed for the family with kids who are not ready for an open road ride – but want to see what a big bike rally is all about. All other routes will cross over US380/US75 to ride the brick streets of Historic Downtown McKinney before riding out into the countryside of Northeastern Collin County.

20Mile Route
For those of you who want to ride a casual route, we have a 20 mile route that will travel those same roads, but it will take an early turn for a short cut that takes a flat route for several miles before rejoining the other routes.

Our 27, 32, 42, 48, 52, 62 and 76 mile routes are NEW for 2011. We will have several long sections early in the ride that will allow our cyclists to spread out before rolling into the countryside. Worried about missing out on the big hill at the finish of our old routes? Not to worry. We have plenty of rolling hills on our routes that will provide plenty of challenge, including The Roller Coaster on our 4 longest routes.
