About Texbiker.net

Texbiker.net covers the news, events and resources for those interested in Texas bicycling.

My bicycling passion was rekindled in 1979 with a Huffy bicycle from Woolco. From early rides around my neighborhood my enthusiasm grew to tackle my unsupported first century. From there I discovered organized rides all over Texas, races and mountain bikes. Many bikes and miles later the enthusiasm is still there.

Thanks to my late wife, Hazel Marie, for her support over the many years, miles and rides.

My primary bike is the Cervelo Caledonia Rival AXS below. My titanium bike is the Lynskey Helix titanium. My newest bike is a Canyon Endurace CF 7 Rival eTap.

Sun City TX Cyclists
There is great cycling in Sun City, Georgetown and the surrounding area. The streets in Sun City give you a smooth ride and the terrain is moderately hilly. Georgetown has a bike trail from San Gabriel Park to Lake Georgetown; there is also a mountain bike trail around the lake. The surrounding area gives you the opportunity to ride in the country on good roads with little traffic. Our Club offers a wide variety of weekly rides for cyclists of all levels, and we  are actively promoting more and better access for cyclists on our roads. CLUB Rides.

The Nacogdoches Bicycle Club is a not-for-profit organization formed to further the interests of cyclists in Nacogdoches County. As you can see from the race profile three or so miles of the loop is quite hilly and will help to separate the fields into those ready for the hills and those who need more training. the finish line is at the top of a hill and favors the climbers rather than sprinters.

The first riders will roll out of the Coldspring High School parking lot at 8am and the last riders will leave around 11:30

Fees: $30 for seniors and $15 for juniors 15 and up and $10 for juniors 10-14, there will be a $10 late fee for seniors registering the day of the race. No late charges for juniors

Registration is at the Coldspring HS on 150. About 2 miles N of the intersection of HWY 2025 and 150. The HS is on the right side of the street.
