Pharr police continue investigating fatal crash

Officials are still looking into a fatal crash that happened Monday night.
The driver of a Chrysler Pacifica struck a man riding a bicycle at about 8:30 p.m. Monday. The crash happened at the intersection of North I Road and Sioux Road, said Pharr police spokesman Sgt. Santiago Solis.
Solis said the driver knew he had hit someone and immediately stopped to help. Alcohol was not a factor in the crash. …

The Ride:   Who says Trick-or-Treating is just for kids and can’t be done on a bike? Put on your costume and join us for some Halloween fun on Saturday, October 30, 2010 at 10:00 AM! This spooky trek will offer four different routes: 6 miles, 20 miles, 35 miles, and 62 miles (100 K) and LOTS of fun for your entire family. Rest stops will be conveniently located throughout the routes and our local X-Press 2000 Girls & Boys Club Soccer Teams will be ready to treat you with your favorite treats…sports drinks, fruits, and cookies. The ride will start and end at Texoma Cycling Center, 502 Wichita Street, Wichita Falls, Texas.
Info:Â All entrants will receive a long sleeve t-shirt.
Cost:Â $25 per event, if you wish to do the Run and Bicycle Ride cost will be $40 and entrants will receive only one t-shirt.
