Texbiker.net covers the news, events and resources for those interested in Texas bicycling.

My bicycling passion was rekindled in 1979 with a Huffy bicycle from Woolco. From early rides around my neighborhood my enthusiasm grew to tackle my unsupported first century. From there I discovered organized rides all over Texas, races and mountain bikes. Many bikes and miles later the enthusiasm is still there.

Thanks to my late wife, Hazel Marie, for her support over the many years, miles and rides.

My primary bike is the Cervelo Caledonia Rival AXS below. My titanium bike is the Lynskey Helix titanium. My newest bike is a Canyon Endurace CF 7 Rival eTap.

Tour de Pink – Prairie View, TX

Tour de Pink 2009 is the first bike ride in Texas solely benefiting breast cancer.  Join us this year as we celebrate our FIFTH ANNIVERSARY – scheduled for Sunday, September 13th, at Prairie View A&M University outside of Houston, Texas.  Routes are available for all levels: 12, 23, 47, 63, 80 and 100 miles!

In addition to the registration fee, each cyclist is required to raise a minimum $100 in pledges from family and friends.  Early registration is $25 until September 6th and will increase to $30 when you register in person at the packet pick-up on September 11th and 12th and day-of registration is $50 on September 13th.

Wish 100 Bike Rally – Plano, TX

Ride for a great cause. Wish 100 is a 100K bike rally benefiting incredible children all over North Texas. This brand new event is part of The Make-A-Wish Foundation® of North Texas fundraising efforts and FUN raising efforts!

What? You can ride 100K or 10, 30 and 45 mile routes.
When? October 3, 2009
Where? Plano, Texas

Registrations Fees
$30 Early Registration by September 1, 2009
$35 Pre-Registration September 2- September 25, 2009
$40 Day of Registration
$10 Kids Registration (ages 5-12)
Wish Kids are FREE

Registrants can pick up their packets at Plano Cycling on Thursday, October 1st and Friday, October 2nd from 9:30am-7:00pm.
