About Texbiker.net

Texbiker.net covers the news, events and resources for those interested in Texas bicycling.

My bicycling passion was rekindled in 1979 with a Huffy bicycle from Woolco. From early rides around my neighborhood my enthusiasm grew to tackle my unsupported first century. From there I discovered organized rides all over Texas, races and mountain bikes. Many bikes and miles later the enthusiasm is still there.

Thanks to my late wife, Hazel Marie, for her support over the many years, miles and rides.

My primary bike is the Cervelo Caledonia Rival AXS below. My titanium bike is the Lynskey Helix titanium. My newest bike is a Canyon Endurace CF 7 Rival eTap.

J C’s sunshine band » Neighborhood Easy Spin on Mtn Bike
by jtctroy
I aired up the mountain bike tires and went for a quick easy spin around town. The wind was blowing about 30 mph. The temperature was about 80 degrees. It was overcast, and humid. They say storms are moving in from the west. My knees hurt a little which was surprising since I rested yesterday with the grand kids here. Randy is coming Friday. I think we will ride the 50 miler at Fort Hood next Saturday. There’s supposed to be 2000 feet of … Capital of Texas Triathlon …

Durango Texas: Sunday Mountain Biking With The Kids At River …
by Durango
This is making the water feel cold, unlike going swimming in the middle of water. I’m sure I’ll adjust. It has been a windy, cloudy Sunday here in North Texas. I went to River Legacy Park to pedal the mountain bike trail around noon. …

Ride start will be on Main St. in downtown Italy at 8:00 a.m. Late registering riders will have an open start from the high school, 8:15-9:00 a.m.

Whichever route you choose, you will enjoy our great rest stops, featuring fresh fruit, including our special ripe plums and nectarines, and manned by our friendly volunteers.

After the ride, enjoy free snow cones, Coca Cola products, and a hot shower at Italy High School.
