In case your winter riding conditions are a little challenging. The website does not say if the iron is Teflon coated for quick dismounting.
Texas Adventure Racing Cycling Event – Huntsville, TX
Saturday, November 14, 2009, 10:00 AM
Huntsville State Park
Huntsville, TX 77320
Now in its 4th year, this race has continued to grow and we expect another great turnout. Folks are already anticipating the excitement with many early sign ups. We would like to thank Dan for the hard work and dedication he has put into this race in the years past, it has always been fun and challenging. This year “The Willies” will be doing course design and race day activities. After this year we will be directing this race.
Formerly called The Texas Jail Break – The name had to be changed due to an actual Jail Break at the Huntsville Prison where a prison guard lost his life – Jail Break is not a popular term around the park these days – understandably so. Our condolences go out to the family members of that guard.

Daniel Norton Offers an Central Austin Sightseeing Tour
This is a 25-mile bike tour through central Austin that I’ve mapped in such a way as to make it easy to take shortcuts if you want. When doing similar routes in a group, we usually stop for coffee & carbs somewhere along the way. There are some very short sections where the traffic’s a little heavier, but 99% of it is low-speed/low-volume traffic. I recommend a road bike with slick tires for this route.
