Texbiker.net covers the news, events and resources for those interested in Texas bicycling.

My bicycling passion was rekindled in 1979 with a Huffy bicycle from Woolco. From early rides around my neighborhood my enthusiasm grew to tackle my unsupported first century. From there I discovered organized rides all over Texas, races and mountain bikes. Many bikes and miles later the enthusiasm is still there.

Thanks to my late wife, Hazel Marie, for her support over the many years, miles and rides.

My primary bike is the Cervelo Caledonia Rival AXS below. My titanium bike is the Lynskey Helix titanium. My newest bike is a Canyon Endurace CF 7 Rival eTap.

Tri-County Hill Hopper – Round Top, TX

The Tri-County Hill Hopper is a BP MS 150 Recommended Ride with three route options available: 20, 36 or 67 miles. Each route provides a hilly ride complemented by some flats. The ride starts at 8 am and the last route sweep is at 2 pm.
Routes
Participants can choose one of three hilly routes of approximately 20, 36 or 67 miles through the scenic Round Top area within the counties of Fayette, Colorado and Austin. Routes and distances may change somewhat from one year to the next due to road conditions or other considerations.

Humble Lions Club Bike Ride – Humble TX

Benefits special needs children, sending them to the Texas Lions Camp free of charge. Scholarships for nurses.

Additional Information

This is a recommended MS 150 bike ride. Continential Breakfast will be provided before the ride. Lunch will be served after the ride.

General Registration-
$20 early registration; $25 after 1/31; $35 day of event
Corporate Riders
(a minimum of 20 registered riders for discount rate)- $15 early registration; $20 after 1/31;
Corporate Riders have to register together all at once. $25 day of event.
Children 12 years and under (4 mile ride)- $5

How long has it been since you’ve been on your bike? Nervous about riding out on the road with traffic? Wanting to start building the miles, but don’t know where to start? This clinic will help you get back to riding with out the training wheels. It includes everything the athlete needs to know about cycling.

Additional Information

This clinic is part of a larger program. Please check out tri training programs by Texas Triple Threat.

Clinic may be done on an individual basis for an additional fee. Private coaching packages also available. Please contact us for further information.

Faith West Academy is a private, Christian school in Katy, Texas. Established over 25 years ago, Faith West offers an excellent academic alternative to public education. Offering extra-curricular activities such as athletics, enriches each student’s experience and affords them the opportunity to unite with others in a team capacity. The proceeds from “Pedaling the Prairie” benefit the Athletic Department of Faith West Academy.

Additional Information

We will have the following route lengths, 25, 45, 62, and 100 miles.

Helmets Require, No Headphones

Ride Rain or Shine

Course Closes at 3:00 PM

Fees:  $25 until January 30th, $35 thereafter
