This is a ride – not a race! Participants will be treated to a fun, but challenging ride, through rural Texas. You’ll start your journey in southeast Austin, then venture through Uhland, Maxwell, Martindale, Gruene, and finally into New Braunfels and the Comal County Fairgrounds. At the Finish Line, there will be cold Ziegenbach and freshly cooked sausage! You registration includes, a groovy long sleeve event t-shirt (guaranteed for all early registrants; first come, first serve after early reg closes); a ticket to Wurstfest; beer and sausage in the fairgrounds ; 6 festive rest stops between Austin & New Braunfels with plenty of food and beverage; and just more fun than you can shake a stick at!!
Sweatin’ Burnt Orange Bike Tour – Blanco, TX
The Sweatin’ Burnt Orange Bike Tour, now in its fourth year, is the primary fundraising event for The University of Texas Cycling Club. From the family friendly 10 miler to the challenging 80 mile loop, all routes offer a unique ride through the heart of the beautiful Texas Hill Country.
The Sweatin’ Burnt Orange Bike Tour will again include routes from 10 to 80 miles weaving through the Texas Hill Country. The 80 mile route includes a stop in the famous Luckenbach Texas and all routes feature challenging hills and beautiful vistas. It’s an incredible Texas riding experience that’ll leave you Sweatin’ Burnt Orange!
Tour de Donut – Katy, TX
The Tour de Donut is a unique bicycle race where riders embark on an appetizing 28-mile journey with rest stops along the way serving as many delectable donuts as you can eat. For EACH tasty donut consumed, the rider is awarded a tempting 5-minute time credit. Eat enough delicious donuts, and you can finish the race before you even started!
Instead of this mouth-watering challenge, riders can ride the 55-mile route shape up for the BP MS 150. This is a BP MS 150 recommended ride!
Tour de Gruene Bicycle Classic 16 mile Individual Time Trials -Gruene, TX
Time Trials are a competition. In our Individual Time Trial contestants are started 30 seconds apart and will race against the clock for awards in 22 different categories. The fastest times in each category win the prizes. The categories are set up by age and ability level. Racing age is defined as your age on December 31 of 2008.
