I couldn’t pass up this story from my home town, Zanesville, Ohio. Local bikers won the Ohio Mountain Bike Championship Series.
Area mountain bikers brought home four division titles and also had five runner up finishes, and were honored at the OMBC banquet last month.
All proceeds benefit the Hill Country Children’s Advocacy Center, which provides free services to abused children and their families.
Just east of Stonewall, enter LBJ State Park (main entrance will be on the right) and stop at the Visitor Center. Ride will start and finish at the pavilion/dining hall.
The ride includes support and travels along several courses ranging from a 10 mile family ride to a nearly 80 mile endurance ride. The different routes take you around the Katy and Brookshire areas. You can expect to experience rolling meadows as well as rural flatlands.
Start at Katy Mills Mall.
