Texbiker.net covers the news, events and resources for those interested in Texas bicycling.

My bicycling passion was rekindled in 1979 with a Huffy bicycle from Woolco. From early rides around my neighborhood my enthusiasm grew to tackle my unsupported first century. From there I discovered organized rides all over Texas, races and mountain bikes. Many bikes and miles later the enthusiasm is still there.

Thanks to my late wife, Hazel Marie, for her support over the many years, miles and rides.

My primary bike is the Cervelo Caledonia Rival AXS below. My titanium bike is the Lynskey Helix titanium. My newest bike is a Canyon Endurace CF 7 Rival eTap.

7:30 a.m…..62 mile ride begins

8:30 a.m…..43 mile ride begins
9:00 a.m…..12 mile family ride

Tri-County Hill Hopper Bicycle Ride – Round Top, TX

Three route options available: 29 miles, 45 miles and 76 miles. Each route provides a hilly ride complimented by some flats. The Big Red Barn, 475 State Hwy 237, Carmine, Texas. The Tri-County Hill Hopper offers a great opportunity for riders to prep their legs for the onslaught of Bastrop State Park! The routes provide persistent hills complimented by some flats.

Registration is $20 until January 25, 2006. Registration is $25 from Jan. 26 – Feb 23. Day before and day of ride registration is $30. Day of the ride registration will be available from 6:30 – 8:00am.

Bulldog Bike Ride & Pancake Breakfast – Waller, TX

Waller Junior High School presents the 2nd Annual Bulldog Bike Ride and Pancake Breakfast.

Starts at Waller Junior High School in Waller, TX (approximately 20 miles west of HWY6 and 290).

Choose from 26, 32, 40, and 55-mile routes. Mostly flat terrain with some gentle rolling hills. Aid stations located along the route.

Following the ride, join us in the cafeteria for a pancake breakfast, complete with coffee and juice served by our students.
