It started with a former president visiting a rehabilitation center for injured service members in San Antonio. President George W. Bush stopped by the Center for the Intrepid at Brooke Army Medical Center in 2009, just a few months after leaving office, and met Sgt. Maj. Chris Self.
Self had been shot in the leg in combat in Baghdad in 2005. He was being fitted for a new cycling prosthesis that day, and when the president learned about Self’s passion for mountain biking, he invited the veteran to his ranch for a ride.

WF Public Library to offer bike locks

WICHITA FALLS, Texas (TNN) – Biking around Downtown Wichita Falls has become commonplace.
The Wichita Falls Public Library is now offering bike locks for library visitors.
The library says people often bring their bikes inside to try to keep them safe.
Now they can offer you a lock to keep your bicycle safe while at the library.
