AUSTIN (KXAN) — Austin police have arrested a man accused of using a power tool to try to take bicycles from the MetroRail Kramer Station located at 2427 Kramer Lane.

More than 6,000 meals fed first responders and hundreds of homeless here in Houston on Saturday.
HOUSTON — Thousands of Houston firefighters and homeless got a free hot meal thanks to Operation BBQ Relief. It’s part of their nation-wide tour to bring hot meals to thousands across the country.

The Austin Animal Center, 7201 Levander Loop, Building A, is seeking volunteers for an event to help walk dogs and socialize cats, as the organization is experiencing overcrowding.
Volunteers will meet from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday with a brief training at the beginning. Activities may include working on projects that support animal enrichment, petting and playing with cats or walking dogs.
An optional bicycle ride will take place after the volunteer shift for lunch at the the Austin Beer Garden Brewing Co., 1305 W. Oltorf.

The dream was 100 miles when Arnel, Clo, Jed, Juan, Mo and I set out at 6:15 this morning. A few miles in we stopped when Clo noticed his handlebars were loose. Thankfully he caught it before the worst could happen and was able to fix it. I felt good and we powered all the way to Richards 44 miles and more than a few hills with some bite to them before our first rest and replenishment of water.
