The organizers of these three central Texas rides are a friendly bunch and we wanted to provide that camaraderie for our riders as well.
Registration for the Tres Amigos Challenge entitles you to participate in all three rides with one registration. You’ll receive t-shirts and swag from each ride. And when you complete the (nearly isoceles) triangle through Erath, Hood, and Somervell counties you’ll earn a special finisher medal.
The Tour de Agua will be held in Dublin on 6/8/19, starting at 7:30am.
The Blazin’ Saddle 75 will be held in Granbury on 8/3/19, starting at 7:30am.
The Paluxy Pedal will be held in Glen Rose on 10/5/19, starting at 8:30am. …

The ride was great. I had a great time. The 4-5% climbs were right in my wheelhouse. I averaged 17.5 each day. The pavement was like buttah. The ride through the park was spectacular. I loved the cheerleaders. The views were spectacular.
Fayettville was fun. Town folk just passing out beers. That was a first for me. …
Mesquite Rotary Club Presents Students $12,000 in Scholarships

The Mesquite Rotary Club hosted its annual Scholarship Recognition and Awards Luncheon at the Dallas Athletic Club on April 23. At the event, the top one percent students in the Class of 2019 from each Mesquite ISD high school, Sunnyvale High School, and Dallas Christian School were honored. Also, scholarship awards of $1,500 each were presented to students from each of these schools, and to a student from the Mesquite Academy. This investment by the club in the future of these deserving area scholars totaled $12,000. …
… The funds underwriting the cost of these scholarship awards come from the proceeds of the Mesquite Rotary Club’s annual “Rodeo Road Rally†fundraising bike ride. There are times when Austin’s Driveway Series criterium races feel more like a party than a bike race. Stroll through the Driveway Motorsports track on a typical race evening in the summer and you will see beer and food tents and hear the thump of rock music. Volunteer Spotlight: Radu Tutos

We recently sat down with BikeHouston member and board member Radu Tutos to get his insights on BikeHouston and why he chooses to serve on the board. Originally from Romania, Radu lived in many cities in the United States before settling in Houston 10 years ago with his wife and two sons. One of his roles as a board member is to work on the advocacy committee. He has also volunteered on the Moonlight Ramble and on the Light of the Phoenix light distribution rides.
