Texbiker.net Posted on July 10, 2015 by Rick AnkrumJuly 10, 2015

Back biking today after taking two days off. On Wednesday I had minor surgery for a small skin cancer on the surface of my right neck. The stitch looks long but the spot was about the size of a penny. … Continue reading →

Texbiker.net Posted on February 1, 2015 by Rick AnkrumFebruary 1, 2015

February is off to a better start than January. My first ride in January was the 6th so I got an earlier start this month. The weather forecast had rain but when I got home from church it was trying … Continue reading →

Since my last ride on the 18th I have suffered fever, chills, coughing, bronchitis, antibiotic medicine  and cold weather. All of this has kept me off my bike needless to say. I am starting to recover and went for a … Continue reading →

Evacuation From the Cold But Back to Ride Now

Texbiker.net Posted on January 17, 2015 by Rick AnkrumJanuary 17, 2015

You may have noticed the lack of daily news digests since January 11th. My wife and I couldn’t take the cold any longer and we took a cruise to Merida and Cozumel, Mexico. It was warmer there as promised. I … Continue reading →

About Texbiker.net

Texbiker.net covers the news, events and resources for those interested in Texas bicycling.

My bicycling passion was rekindled in 1979 with a Huffy bicycle from Woolco. From early rides around my neighborhood my enthusiasm grew to tackle my unsupported first century. From there I discovered organized rides all over Texas, races and mountain bikes. Many bikes and miles later the enthusiasm is still there.

Thanks to my late wife, Hazel Marie, for her support over the many years, miles and rides.

My primary bike is the Cervelo Caledonia Rival AXS below. My titanium bike is the Lynskey Helix titanium. My newest bike is a Canyon Endurace CF 7 Rival eTap.
