Summer Like, More Greenbelt Trails Than Usual Required Extra Thinking

Texbiker.net Posted on June 11, 2023 by Rick AnkrumJune 11, 2023

Summer weather moved into the area. After getting home from church, watching highlights of the prologue of the Tour de Suisse, eating a snack I got dressed for today’s bike ride. The new bike isn’t quite ready yet so I … Continue reading →

Texbiker.net Posted on April 16, 2023 by Rick AnkrumApril 16, 2023

Under the cover of darkness a front captured the 85 degree weather and substituted 70 degree weather. I was perfectly happy with the 85 degree weather but made due with the low 70’s in its place for today’s bike ride. … Continue reading →

Oxbow Lakes Along The San Jacinto Bayou Greenway

Texbiker.net Posted on June 19, 2022 by Rick AnkrumJune 19, 2022

Nothing like biking in hot weather. As I rode I thought this ride is training for the HH 100 in August. Getting home from church I got ready and rode out at 1:33 PM on my Lynskey Helix bike. I … Continue reading →

About Texbiker.net

Texbiker.net covers the news, events and resources for those interested in Texas bicycling.

My bicycling passion was rekindled in 1979 with a Huffy bicycle from Woolco. From early rides around my neighborhood my enthusiasm grew to tackle my unsupported first century. From there I discovered organized rides all over Texas, races and mountain bikes. Many bikes and miles later the enthusiasm is still there.

Thanks to my late wife, Hazel Marie, for her support over the many years, miles and rides.

My primary bike is the Cervelo Caledonia Rival AXS below. My titanium bike is the Lynskey Helix titanium. My newest bike is a Canyon Endurace CF 7 Rival eTap.
