Texbiker.net Posted on September 8, 2020 by Rick AnkrumSeptember 8, 2020

Checking the weather radar after seeing the damp driveway I delayed the start of today’s bike ride until 11:46 AM. With rain in the area I decided to ride the Kingwood streets to be close to shelter or home if … Continue reading →

Another bike ride attempt heading south thwarted by rain. That makes three attempts to go south and rain got my number starting last Saturday. I planned on riding the “Atascocita South – Walden – Huffman” route but only rode as … Continue reading →

Late start on today’s bike ride after church. Rolling out the driveway at 1:40 PM on the Canyon Endurace CF SLX bike I rode around Kingwood Streets. I needed to bike at least 9 miles to reach my 800 mile … Continue reading →

A Father’s Day bike ride on Kingwood Streets and trails was my afternoon pleasure. This was an easy pace bike ride on the Lynskey R300 bike since I already hit 200+ miles for the week. Today I biked 15.61 miles … Continue reading →

About Texbiker.net

Texbiker.net covers the news, events and resources for those interested in Texas bicycling.

My bicycling passion was rekindled in 1979 with a Huffy bicycle from Woolco. From early rides around my neighborhood my enthusiasm grew to tackle my unsupported first century. From there I discovered organized rides all over Texas, races and mountain bikes. Many bikes and miles later the enthusiasm is still there.

Thanks to my late wife, Hazel Marie, for her support over the many years, miles and rides.

My primary bike is the Cervelo Caledonia Rival AXS below. My titanium bike is the Lynskey Helix titanium. My newest bike is a Canyon Endurace CF 7 Rival eTap.
