Texbiker.net Posted on June 26, 2022 by Rick AnkrumJune 26, 2022

It’s a good thing I don’t mind biking when it’s hot because today’s bike ride was during the heat of the day. I began the ride at 1:21 PM and finished at 3:03 PM. With all of the sun and … Continue reading →

It Didn’t Feel Like 93 Bicycling to Community Drive And Back

Texbiker.net Posted on June 24, 2022 by Rick AnkrumJune 24, 2022

Today’s bike ride started later than I preferred with my Lynskey Helix moving out of the driveway at 10:34 AM. To limit my biking time as the temperature went up I chose my “Kingwood-Community Drive-Valley Ranch” route and finished at … Continue reading →

Oxbow Lakes Along The San Jacinto Bayou Greenway

Texbiker.net Posted on June 19, 2022 by Rick AnkrumJune 19, 2022

Nothing like biking in hot weather. As I rode I thought this ride is training for the HH 100 in August. Getting home from church I got ready and rode out at 1:33 PM on my Lynskey Helix bike. I … Continue reading →

About Texbiker.net

Texbiker.net covers the news, events and resources for those interested in Texas bicycling.

My bicycling passion was rekindled in 1979 with a Huffy bicycle from Woolco. From early rides around my neighborhood my enthusiasm grew to tackle my unsupported first century. From there I discovered organized rides all over Texas, races and mountain bikes. Many bikes and miles later the enthusiasm is still there.

Thanks to my late wife, Hazel Marie, for her support over the many years, miles and rides.

My primary bike is the Cervelo Caledonia Rival AXS below. My titanium bike is the Lynskey Helix titanium. My newest bike is a Canyon Endurace CF 7 Rival eTap.
