Texbiker.net Posted on October 29, 2021 by Rick AnkrumOctober 29, 2021

The wind let up a few miles per hour but gusts about 30 mph. Today I hit the headwind first riding to the north on my “Kingwood – FM1485 – Kingwood” route. I pushed the Bolt start button at 11:16 … Continue reading →

As promised the front arrived around 9 AM with rain and some wind. It lasted about an hour and I delayed the start of today’s bike ride until 1:22 PM to allow the streets to dry some and the temperature … Continue reading →

I got distract when I started today’s bike ride and left my CamelBak at home. I realized it about a mile into the ride and circled back to get it. The afternoon sun warmed the temperature into the mid 80’s. … Continue reading →

Could Be The New Wheel Distortion Field

Texbiker.net Posted on October 22, 2021 by Rick AnkrumOctober 22, 2021

Good bike ride today. Got an earlier start leaving at 10:52 AM. I chose a shorter ride with no detours on my “Kingwood – FM1485 – Kingwood” route. The 31.47 miles positions me for a 200+ mile week with tomorrow’s … Continue reading →

About Texbiker.net

Texbiker.net covers the news, events and resources for those interested in Texas bicycling.

My bicycling passion was rekindled in 1979 with a Huffy bicycle from Woolco. From early rides around my neighborhood my enthusiasm grew to tackle my unsupported first century. From there I discovered organized rides all over Texas, races and mountain bikes. Many bikes and miles later the enthusiasm is still there.

Thanks to my late wife, Hazel Marie, for her support over the many years, miles and rides.

My primary bike is the Cervelo Caledonia Rival AXS below. My titanium bike is the Lynskey Helix titanium. My newest bike is a Canyon Endurace CF 7 Rival eTap.
