Texbiker.net Posted on December 18, 2022 by Rick AnkrumDecember 18, 2022

After getting home from church I decided to wrap up this week’s biking on Zwift. Using the companion app I found a group ride for a change that was a good distance (19.9 miles) and allowed me enough time to … Continue reading →

Two Laps Zwifting Makuri Islands’ Island Hopper Route

Texbiker.net Posted on December 17, 2022 by Rick AnkrumDecember 17, 2022

On Saturday I like to ride Zwift and listen to America’s Top 40 from the 70’s on the SiriusXM 70’s on 7 channel if the weather keeps me inside. Today that happened and the week reviewed by Casey Kasem was … Continue reading →

When I opened the Zwift companion app 23,775 Zwifters were online. I checked the upcoming events but didn’t find one that looked interesting. So I created a meetup on the Makuri Islands Flatland Loop. A loop was 8.6 miles according … Continue reading →

Texbiker.net Posted on December 12, 2022 by Rick AnkrumDecember 12, 2022

I decided to ride Zwift today rather than outside. I didn’t create a meetup but looked at the routes in the Makuri Islands and found the Turf N Surf one that I have rode before. Some of the roads are … Continue reading →

About Texbiker.net

Texbiker.net covers the news, events and resources for those interested in Texas bicycling.

My bicycling passion was rekindled in 1979 with a Huffy bicycle from Woolco. From early rides around my neighborhood my enthusiasm grew to tackle my unsupported first century. From there I discovered organized rides all over Texas, races and mountain bikes. Many bikes and miles later the enthusiasm is still there.

Thanks to my late wife, Hazel Marie, for her support over the many years, miles and rides.

My primary bike is the Cervelo Caledonia Rival AXS below. My titanium bike is the Lynskey Helix titanium. My newest bike is a Canyon Endurace CF 7 Rival eTap.
