Unexpected Rain Break In Auburn Trails

Texbiker.net Posted on July 27, 2022 by Rick AnkrumJuly 27, 2022

I guess I added several extra streets on today’s bike ride because the distance of 39.36 miles is the longest of all the times I rode the “New Caney – Gene Campbell Blvd” route in 2022. Some of the mileage … Continue reading →

As I made the bed up this morning I asked the Google Assistant what the weather forecast was for today. She said rain but I believed that applied to other people and places. I paused stage 16 of the Giro … Continue reading →

No bike race to watch this morning so I was able to start today’s bike ride at 10:23 AM, a little earlier than normal. Being Monday I chose a route riding to the north, “New Caney – Tavola – Valley … Continue reading →

About Texbiker.net

Texbiker.net covers the news, events and resources for those interested in Texas bicycling.

My bicycling passion was rekindled in 1979 with a Huffy bicycle from Woolco. From early rides around my neighborhood my enthusiasm grew to tackle my unsupported first century. From there I discovered organized rides all over Texas, races and mountain bikes. Many bikes and miles later the enthusiasm is still there.

Thanks to my late wife, Hazel Marie, for her support over the many years, miles and rides.

My primary bike is the Cervelo Caledonia Rival AXS below. My titanium bike is the Lynskey Helix titanium. My newest bike is a Canyon Endurace CF 7 Rival eTap.
