Overall Sales at IBDs Up for September<\/strong><\/span><\/a>

\nBOULDER, CO (BRAIN)\u00e2\u20ac\u201dAccording to Leisure Trends Group, overall merchandise sales at IBDS during September were up 5 percent in units and 9 percent in dollars compared to September 2010, totaling $263 million. That\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s up $21 million compared to the same month last year.<\/p>\n

Complete bike sales, which accounted for $131 million or 46 percent of that total, dropped 1 percent in units. But dollar sales were up 9 percent. The Boulder, Colorado, market research group attributed the growth to a jump in the average retail-selling price of 9 percent. The average bike in September sold for…<\/p>\n

\nMy experience is luckily past, but I was hit by a car a year-and-a-half ago. The driver was ticketed by the police, but I can\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t quite remember what the ticket was. It did make it clear he was at fault. He was a working Joe that just wasn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t watching out for bikes.<\/p>\n

I didn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t want to sue and he had the minimum amount of insurance. I had considerable hospital bills, and even though I had health insurance I wasn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t sure they would cover the bills. I felt like the driver\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s insurance, and my health and car insurance were all trying to make sure they spent the least money possible. Since I wasn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t going to sue, lawyers weren\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t interested in talking to me.
