{"id":10483,"date":"2011-11-12T23:15:08","date_gmt":"2011-11-13T05:15:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.texbiker.net\/blog\/?p=10483"},"modified":"2011-11-12T23:15:08","modified_gmt":"2011-11-13T05:15:08","slug":"post-turkey-day-aka-llama-ride-granbury-tx","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.texbiker.net\/blog\/2011\/11\/12\/post-turkey-day-aka-llama-ride-granbury-tx\/","title":{"rendered":"Post Turkey Day (aka llama) ride &#8211; Granbury, TX"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a title=\"http:\/\/www.facebook.com\/#!\/event.php?eid=270684896300726\" href=\"http:\/\/www.facebook.com\/#!\/event.php?eid=270684896300726\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Post Turkey Day (aka llama) ride<\/strong><\/a><br \/>\nGranbury, TX<br \/>\nThe Traditional Post-Turkey Day Ride!<br \/>\n(AKA the llegendary llama llives!)<\/p>\n<p>Burn off that turkey and dressing &#8230; join us for our traditional ride on Friday, November 25th at 9:00 AM.\u00c2\u00a0 We&#8217;ll meet near Granbury for a fun ride in the hills.\u00c2\u00a0 Maps provided, and we will regroup a few times.<\/p>\n<p>This ride features some of the best views in this part of Texas, very little traffic, rednecks or dogs, and even paved roads except where they aren&#8217;t.\u00c2\u00a0 As usual, we will split up and regroup for those who want to do an optional unpaved section through \u00c2\u00a1\u00c2\u00a7Deliverance\u00c2\u00a1\u00c2\u00a8 country where we\u00c2\u00a1\u00c2\u00a6ve met up with the infamous bike-chasing llama.\u00c2\u00a0 This section passes through water crossings, numerous cattleguards and two exotic animal ranches!\u00c2\u00a0 Be prepared for anything.\u00c2\u00a0 Remember, this part is optional and not for the faint of heart.<\/p>\n<p>When:\u00c2\u00a0 Friday 11\/25 starting at 9:00 AM<br \/>\nWhere:\u00c2\u00a0 FM 51 at Brushy Road (approx 4 miles south of Granbury)<\/p>\n<p>Why:\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 You ate too much, you need a break from the relatives, you&#8217;ve never been out that way and you like an adventure, you&#8217;re tired of the same old ride, you crave quiet roads for a change &#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Who:\u00c2\u00a0 YOU.\u00c2\u00a0 All are invited&#8230;but no whining.<\/p>\n<p>How long:\u00c2\u00a0 Ride can be 40 to 80 miles. We might adjust that day based on weather and who wants what.\u00c2\u00a0 I&#8217;ll provide maps in case you want to do your own thing.\u00c2\u00a0 There are NO stores on this ride!\u00c2\u00a0 Be prepared!<\/p>\n<p>*** This is a no drop ride \u00c2\u00a1V it\u00c2\u00a1\u00c2\u00a6s November! \u00c2\u00a1V but the pace will be high at times, especially on the optional unpaved section.
