So, I switched tactics \u00e2\u20ac\u201c terminology. \u00e2\u20ac\u0153I mean it\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s cute in a powerful way. Slick, with&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"http:\/\/www.peopleforbikes.org\/blog\/entry\/the_future_of_bicycling_in_america...and_how_you_can_help\/\" href=\"http:\/\/www.peopleforbikes.org\/blog\/entry\/the_future_of_bicycling_in_america...and_how_you_can_help\/\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><strong>The future of bicycling in America\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6and how you can help<\/strong><\/span><\/a><br \/>\nWe formed Peopleforbikes.org (PFB) in 2010 to help make bicycling better for everyone. We wanted to encourage individuals to show their support for safe, stress-free bicycling in their hometowns. We wanted to publicize and celebrate all the great things that happen when people ride bikes.<\/p>\n<p>So far, so good! After a solid first year, the PFB movement nearly tripled in size during 2011. Nearly 500,000 supporters now power our collective, unified voice. We will continue to grow in 2012.<\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;ve rallied the PFB troops four times to show how much Americans care about the federal investment in bicycling. In 2011, our movement sent more than 100,000 letters to U.S. Representatives and Senators. These messages made a strong impression, and inspired&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium; color: #993366;\"><strong>I remember my slow motion fall many years ago at an intersection on a very busy street when I realized at the last moment I could not get my feet out of the pedals before I fell over.
