Struck by a car while riding his bicycle last February, Charlesworth spent 57 days in the hospital and underwent three months of physical rehabilitation.<\/p>\n
“To me, riding a bicycle has been a metaphor for our journey through life,” said Charlesworth, 63. “We all start at Point A, and we all finish the ‘tour de life’ at Point B. It is not about how fast we go. It is about doing the best that we can as we pedal to God’s finish line.”<\/p>\n
Five months after the incident, he tried to finish his interrupted ride.<\/p>\n
