\nOn the night of April 27th, Casey Sparks was riding home from the Denton Arts & Jazz fest when he had a solo bicycle accident on Locust, near the North Branch Library. He passed away six days later on May 3rd. The police did not file a report, and the accident details are a bit vague, so I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122m waiting to hear back from the Fire Department.<\/p>\n

This tragedy marks the first bicycle-related loss in Denton since 2005. …<\/p>\n

\nThis weeks ride was done a little differently. Normally, we meet for breakfast then ride on out. This time, we gathered at the Echo Hotel Cafe parking lot, then headed out to the restaurant to eat. We picked Kolache Factory in McAllen as the eatery to snack at. It was a good turnout with about ten riders. A few didn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t show up as planned but that\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s ok.<\/p>\n

This is April and that means an abundance of wind to test the legs of the several beginners on the ride. Along the way, Ray was coaching several riders on using the gears on their bikes.This helped the group move a little faster…<\/p>\n
