In the past, I have always shaken my head and clucked my tongue at the horrible locking jobs he captured.<br \/>\n<img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/4.bp.blogspot.com\/-N-2TrC6cg3w\/T6sWlyJuMlI\/AAAAAAAAC8c\/dFjnBSYJoRI\/s640\/JRA1.gif?resize=320%2C214\" alt=\"\" width=\"320\" height=\"214\" \/><br \/>\nFortunately, I learned two lessons today. Both were learned cheaply, in contrast to what MIGHT have happened. Actually, I learned three lessons. The third lesson was that John Romeo Alpha does not lurk around the bike rack where I work. There are real advantages to living in North Texas rather than&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"http:\/\/www.peopleforbikes.org\/blog\/entry\/peopleforbikes.org_reaches_500000_pledges\/\" href=\"http:\/\/www.peopleforbikes.org\/blog\/entry\/peopleforbikes.org_reaches_500000_pledges\/\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><strong>PeopleForBikes.org reaches 500,000 pledges!<\/strong><\/span><\/a><br \/>\nJust over two years ago, we launched PeopleForBikes.org with the goal of collecting one million pledges for a better future for bicycling. We are thrilled to report that we officially hit the halfway mark this past weekend at Bike Expo New York. PeopleForBikes.org now stands 500,000 riders strong!<br \/>\n<img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.peopleforbikes.org\/page\/-\/blog\/500Ksigners1.jpg?resize=500%2C340\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"340\" \/><br \/>\nAt Bike Expo New York, Christine Capetola and Carolyn Auwaerter actually \u00e2\u20ac\u0153tied\u00e2\u20ac\u009d as the 500,000th person to sign the PFB pledge.
