Over 1200 people attended last year, and the event keeps getting better. This is the largest Mountain Bike Festival in the state and &#8220;Texas&#8217; best adventure destination.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>In addition to hosting the mountain bike cross country events, the Camp Eagle Classic brings a full weekend of activities. The race is committed to appealing to families as well as a wide variety of outdoor adventure participants. On tap for the weekend: &#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"http:\/\/www.biketexas.org\/en\/news\/community\/1300-san-antonio-listed-in-national-recreation-trails\" href=\"http:\/\/www.biketexas.org\/en\/news\/community\/1300-san-antonio-listed-in-national-recreation-trails\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><strong>San Antonio Listed in National Recreation Trails<\/strong><\/span><\/a><br \/>\nBikeTexas.org<br \/>\nThe Leon Creek Greenway North and the Medina River Greenway, both in San Antonio, have been newly designated as National Recreation Trails (NRT) by Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar and National Park Service Director Jonathan B. Jarvis.<\/p>\n<p>The San Antonio Parks and Recreation department reports that the Leon Creek Greenway is a 13-mile trail that connects to many neighboring parks. The Medina River Greenway is seven miles long over mostly easy terrain, but it does include some switchbacks for an extra challenge. Both of the newly-designated trails will&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"http:\/\/redmond.patch.com\/articles\/redmond-s-rotary-club-gears-up-for-charity#photo-10697062\" href=\"http:\/\/redmond.patch.com\/articles\/redmond-s-rotary-club-gears-up-for-charity#photo-10697062\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><strong>Rotary Club&#8217;s Redspoke Ride Marks 25 Years of Gearing Up for Charity<\/strong><\/span><\/a><br \/>\nredmond.patch.com<br \/>\nApproximately 130 cyclists departed this morning on the Rotary Club of Redmond&#8217;s five-day bike ride from Redmond to Spokane.<br \/>\nFor the last 25 years, Rotary Club of Redmond has sponsored a 300-mile bike ride from Redmond to Spokane to help raise funds for charity.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/o3.aolcdn.com\/dims-shared\/dims3\/PATCH\/resize\/600x450\/http:\/\/hss-prod.hss.aol.com\/hss\/storage\/patch\/c4ea339e6e2d906e92391a602745d1e\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"401\" \/><br \/>\nThis morning, 130 cyclists registered for the grueling event at the Marriott Hotel at Redmond Town Center\u00e2\u20ac\u201da huge increase from last year&#8217;s 66 riders.<\/p>\n<p>This year&#8217;s proceeds from the Redspoke ride will go to Hopelink and Little Bit Therapeutic Riding Center.
