Previous high was 5,030 (1999).<\/li>\n<li>updated the look of Texbiker.net. WordPress is the engine that drives Texbiker.net. In March I attended WordCamp Dallas. WordCamp gave me many ideas on how to enhance the blog.<\/li>\n<li>4,514 miles on my road bike, Mercier.<\/li>\n<li>617 miles on my mountain bike.<\/li>\n<li>rode 146 days on my road bike.<\/li>\n<li>rode 40 days on my mountain bike.<\/li>\n<li>average miles per ride: 25.91.<\/li>\n<li>Added a set of Bontrager wheels which seem to have added a little speed to my road riding. Bought these at the Hotter&#8217;n Hell Hundred in Wichita Falls.<\/li>\n<li>Rode the 75 mile route at the HHH and this year I stopped and shook the hands of a number of airmen thanking them for their service.<\/li>\n<li>Most touching moment at a ride: the T38 jets flying up Scott Street in formation at the HHH start line.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>2008 had many biking highlights: most miles in a year &#8211; 5,131.
