{"id":1614,"date":"2009-01-11T23:28:21","date_gmt":"2009-01-12T05:28:21","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.texbiker.net\/blog\/?p=1614"},"modified":"2009-01-11T23:28:21","modified_gmt":"2009-01-12T05:28:21","slug":"vogel-family-in-the-valley","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.texbiker.net\/blog\/2009\/01\/11\/vogel-family-in-the-valley\/","title":{"rendered":"Vogel Family In the Valley"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Yes, we\u00e2\u20ac\u2122re still here in McAllen \u00e2\u20ac\u201c and we\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ve been busier than I could ever have imagined!<span> <\/span>So busy, in fact, that I haven\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t even written my daily journal entries.<span> <\/span>I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ll do the best I can to remember the past few days!<\/p>\n<p>Yesterday we headed over to Mission to ride their mountain bike trails.<span> <\/span><a title=\"Mission Trails\" href=\"http:\/\/www.missiontrails.org\/index.php?pr=Home_Page\" target=\"_blank\">Mission Trails<\/a>, another bicycle club in the valley, has created a wonderful network of single track crisscrossing a paved bike path in Mission, and Jack graciously offered to take us out on the trails.<span> <\/span>We had a blast \u00e2\u20ac\u201c even though it was a short ride.<span> <\/span>Davy especially enjoyed the trails and couldn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t get enough of zooming up the hills, then barreling down.<\/p>\n<p>The Vogel family left June 8, 2008 for a 2 1\/2 year bicycle trip traversing the Pan-American Highway from Alaska to Argentina.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"http:\/\/familyonbikes.org\/\" href=\"http:\/\/familyonbikes.org\/blog\/?p=791\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Their blog is familyonbikes.org<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Yes, we\u00e2\u20ac\u2122re still here in McAllen \u00e2\u20ac\u201c and we\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ve been busier than I could ever have imagined!
