They also receive $5 per adult annual add-on license sold.<\/p>\n<p>For the first time, all 34 associations earned rebates based on 2008 sales. For the fourth consecutive year, the Northern California\/Nevada Cycling Association was the top earner, qualifying for $36,105, followed by the Southern California\/Nevada Cycling Association ($32,210), the New England Bicycle Racing Association ($30,520), the Texas Bicycle Racing Association ($23,225) and the Pennsylvania Cycling Association ($15,495).<\/p>\n<p>In Texas, says Andrew Willis, president of the Texas Bicycle Racing Association, the money helps pay for everything from a pair of FinishLynx finish-line cameras to running a high-school cycling league.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>from Velonews.com USA Cycling is distributing nearly $360,000 in rebates from license sales to its 34 local associations, the governing body announced on Wednesday.
