This is the year to try rides I have not done before or not in several years. One of these is the Jalape\u00c3\u00b1o Ride in Harlingen in February. This is a good reason to go south for the winter.<\/li>\n<li>Create detailed ride maps for texbiker.net. This would include the route as well as the road conditions with pictures. Maybe some Google Earth type maps.<\/li>\n<li>Increase ride safety awareness. I have been in two biking crashes. One was life threatening with surgery and the other was scary but not so damaging. Helmets saved my life each time.<\/li>\n<li>Improve the bike shop directory and map locations. Local bike shops are important for many reasons.
