We would ride until the winds were blowing us over, then pull over, swap our biking cleats for gym shoes, trudge on for a couple miles till the wind would die down a little and then hop back on the bikes again. Bicycle Ride Ends Near Broken Bow for California Man<\/strong><\/span><\/a>

Roper, Jr. 63, of Minlow Park, California started a bike trip on October 2nd, with the intention of riding the route of the Keystone Pipeline from Calgary, Alberta, Canada to Houston, Texas.\u00c2\u00a0 Unfortunately Roper\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s ride ended just east of Broken Bow on Highway 2 Saturday.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 Broken Bow Fire and Rescue were called to his aid after Roper and his bike went down for unknown reasons.\u00c2\u00a0 Roper was transported to Melham Medical Center and then later transferred to Kearney with non-life threatening injuries.\u00c2\u00a0 According to Roper\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Facebook page, his injuries will prevent him from continuing his trip.\u00c2\u00a0 You will find additional information on Roper and his quest at keepyoureyeonthebike.com<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n
