\nA Colorado-based designer has developed a unique solution to the dreaded flat tire: airless tires.<\/p>\n

Brian Russell created a bicycle tire that wraps rubber around carbon nanotube-reinforced composite rods to provide a cushioned, airless solution. While it’s still a prototype, the Energy Return Wheel (ERW) offers a much-needed solution to the inevitable flat.<\/p>\n

Bicycle passing law needs vigorous policing<\/strong><\/span><\/a>

\nWhen City Council approved a \u00e2\u20ac\u0153safe passing\u00e2\u20ac\u009d ordinance nearly three years ago, the law was intended to protect travelers on two wheels from a deadly trend in Texas, where about 50 cyclists were killed every year.<\/p>\n

Yet only six people have been cited since.<\/p>\n
