Being my first year to go I didn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t have a clue and so I asked some buddies like Pete Prebus who runs ElectricBikeReport.com, a site dedicated to reviewing and growing the new electric bike market. He gave me a few pointers, but I still wasn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t overly sure and just kind of guessed on it.<\/p>\n<p>Ultimately, I ended up taking a bunch of stuff I didn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t need and leaving behind stuff that I did need. He was enticed by cycling\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s convenience, the opportunity to work exercise into his day and the low cost compared with buying car fuel.<\/p>\n<p>Thayer is one of a growing number of individuals in Austin who are looking to alternative forms of transportation as a viable way to meet daily transportation needs without the use of a car. Thayer serves on the city\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s bicycle advisory council, a group that meets regularly and advises city staff based on consensus about&#8230;<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><a title=\"http:\/\/www.sanangelobicycleassociation.com\/\" href=\"http:\/\/www.sanangelobicycleassociation.com\/\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><strong>MDA Ride for ALS<\/strong><\/span><\/a><br \/>\nSan Angelo Bicycling Association<br \/>\nOctober 26th, 2013.\u00c2\u00a0 Ride off at 8:00 am from Family Power Sports, 4160 West Houston Harte Expressway, San Angelo, TX 76901<br \/>\nCome join the fun!
