Two Leading Austin Bicycling Groups On Track To Merge<\/strong><\/span><\/a>

\nAustin Cycling Association and Bike Austin start discussions to form unified organization, propel the city\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s ambitious bicycling vision forward
\nAUSTIN \u00e2\u20ac\u201c Two of the city\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s non-profit bicycling organizations, Austin Cycling Association (ACA) and Bike Austin, have started discussions aimed at forming a single organization dedicated to promoting cycling for transportation and recreation in Austin. The groups have decided that a focused, effective cycling advocacy organization is key to helping the city achieve its ambitions to become one of the country\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s top bike cities.<\/p>\n

A task force of members from each organization\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s board of directors and staff met on Dec. 8 to agree on a process and timeline. They have hired the Washington, DC-based consulting firm S & G Endeavors to guide them through the merger and…<\/p>\n
