The team, led by coach Brad Didier, placed fifth overall. First-time racer Destyne Dismuke placed fourth in the freshman\/sophomore girls category. Freshman boys Chris LaGrone, Devlen Harrell, Hunter Henry, and Cameron Smith as well as junior varsity racer James Parish, also competed in their first race. It\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s the sixth anniversary of Bike Noob. I hadn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t even thought about the fact that I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ve been writing this blog for six years, until the folks at WordPress sent me a congratulatory message.<br \/>\n  How\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s the past year been? A mixed bag, I think. I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ve noticed that my posts have not kept to the rigid three-a-week schedule I used to observe, and that I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ve been posting a little less often recently. I think that has to do with a colder-than-usual winter this year, and a marked reduction in miles ridden as a result. It\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s hard to keep interested when you find yourself preferring to stay indoors. Now that the weather is&#8230;\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<hr \/>\n<h2><a title=\"http:\/\/www.neilsondevo.com\/2014\/02\/new-member-russ-miller.html\" href=\"http:\/\/www.neilsondevo.com\/2014\/02\/new-member-russ-miller.html\" target=\"_blank\">New Member: Russ Miller<\/a><\/h2>\n<h3>www.neilsondevo.com<\/h3>\n<blockquote><p>\n  We&#8217;re glad to welcome Russ Miller to the Neilson Devo team. Russ started riding late last year, and has made great strides already in both fitness and shred! We took him out for his first team ride this weekend to Cypresswood, where he knocked out 15 miles without blinking an eye. Russ has been doing a lot of cardio rides to get in better shape and lose weight, so his fitness has come along nicely but his skills were still a little shaky. He lacked confidence in the corners and needed to learn the fundamentals of handling. After an hour or so of riding and coaching&#8230;\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<hr \/>\n<h2><a title=\"http:\/\/oldguy2wheels.com\/2014\/02\/18\/the-urge-to-merge\/\" href=\"http:\/\/oldguy2wheels.com\/2014\/02\/18\/the-urge-to-merge\/\" target=\"_blank\">The urge to merge<\/a><\/h2>\n<h3>An Old Guy On Two Wheels<\/h3>\n<blockquote><p>\n  Yesterday my inbox filled briefly with breathless announcements about the pending merger between Austin Cycling Association and Bike Austin (formerly League of Bicycling Voters).
