This weekend I was going to race my legs out, see what needs to be worked on, and leave with a smile. I did just that, and then some. Stage 1 was at 9AM Saturday morning, an individual time trial for less than 5 miles, I have always hated TT’s so I figured I would just go and give it my best. The roads were ruff, really ruff, but that didn’t stop anyone, for 4.76 miles it was just you and the road, it was 1 direction…straight. It was great weather, the wind was a cross tail basically the whole way there with an uphill finish. I don’t like TT’s, at all, but when I like them they are longer, between 10 and 20 miles favor me the best, so I can get a good tempo going and just pound it out. The short, sprint ones don’t really work in my favor, no biggie though. I was able to knock the race out in 12 minutes and 12 seconds, I was really happy with that, till I saw my result, 6th place, 1 minute and 15 seconds off from the leader…I knew I would have to make the time up in the road race, because it wasn’t going to…

RBM Recumbent Ride March 2014

Richardson Bike

Watch Joel Hernandez lead this awesome morning ride of 18 recumbent cyclists!
Join us the last Saturday of every month at 8:30 am for the Richardson Bike Mart Recumbent Ride!

Cadence Cyclery opens second location as Giant Partner Store

by BRAIN Staff      www.bicycleretailer.com

HIGHLAND VILLAGE, Texas (BRAIN) — Dallas-Fort Worth area retailer Cadence Cyclery recently celebrated the opening of its second store, located 32 miles from its original location in McKinney, Texas.
