As always, if there is an event you know about that\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s not on our calendar contact us, and we\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ll add your event on and possibly add it to the weekly round up.<\/p>\n<p>Kenny Hill AutoWerks\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 Driveway Criterium Races<br \/>\n4:30 PM, Community Rally, 5:30 PM, Races, The Driveway, 8400 Delwau Ln<br \/>\nWeekly Thursday night road racing through October that takes place on the closed car-free driving course at the Driveway. Races include Cat 4\/5 at 6:10, Cat 3\/4 at 5:30, Pro\/Cat 1\/2\/3 at 6:45 to choose from with a fourth Masters race (40 + years old) running from May 21- August 6 starting at 7:45. Open riding during Community Rally from 4:30- 5:30 PM. Races registration $20, Rally $10. $5 off with 8 oz can donated to Capital Area Food Bank. See our article about the series for more info.<\/p>\n<p>Logo<br \/>\nThursday Night Bike Polo<br \/>\n5:30 PM, Eastwoods Park, 3001 Harris Park Ave<br \/>\nThe Austin Bike Polo Club has added another weekly match to the regular Sunday afternoon affair. All bikes and skill levels are welcome and spare mallets and balls are available if you don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t have any. Check out our recent article on bike polo for more info.<\/p>\n<p>City Council action on the Austin 2009 Master Bike Plan<br \/>\n6PM, Austin City Hall<br \/>\nThe Austin 2009 Master Bike Plan is up for passage by the Austin City Council, and we need to a strong showing by the cycling community in support of passage and full funding of the plan. Click here to learn more and see how else you can let the City Council know you support the plan.<\/p>\n<p>Urban Night Ride<br \/>\n7:30 PM, Lamar Blvd Pfluger Pedestrian Bridge<br \/>\nA new ride from the Facebook group Social Cycling ATX. Meet at Pedestrian Bridge at 7:30p.m. leave at 8:00p.m. sharp. Bring your cameras &amp; twitter phones and get some good sunset shots. This week\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s ride will pick up where last week\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s left off with an eastside cruise followed by free beer at Club DeVille. DJ Pole Cat will be DJing at the party. You\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ll be able to bring your bikes in the club and park them at the back bar as long as we keep the fire exit clear. As always, bring a valid ID as they will be checking.<\/p>\n<p>Armadillo Hill Country Classic Volunteer Appreciation Picnic and Ride<br \/>\n8 AM, Brushy Creek Lake Park, 3300 Brushy Creek Rd, Cedar Park, TX<br \/>\nMeet at Brushy Creek Lake Park in Cedar Park as we thank our volunteers who helped make this year\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Armadillo Hill Country Classic a success. The park is located off of Brushy Creek Road just east of Parmer Lane. Please park at the back of the parking lot near the restrooms and water feature. Everyone is welcome to join us for rides of 12, 20, 33, 46, and 63 miles. After the ride we\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ll have a special party for our volunteers which will include a barbeque lunch in the park. There will be several hosted rides leaving from the park including a 5.5 mile kids and family ride within the park. Ride organizer: Patti at 512-799-4833<\/p>\n<p>Mellow Johnny\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Scout-A-Ride: Mamma Jamma Training Ride Kick Off<br \/>\n8:30 AM, Mellow Johnny\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s, 400 Nueces St<br \/>\nSaturday mornings spent exploring City of Austin bike routes finding new neighborhoods and ways to get around on your bike. The Scout-A-Route crew hosts the Mamma Jamma Training Ride Kick Off. This ride is open to everyone whether or not you are participating in the Oct 10th Mamma Jamma Ride. We\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ll take you on a pretty flat course through downtown to get your legs moving again and get to know some of the other riders interested in benefiting breast cancer service organizations. Longer ride lengths will be available. Come at 8:00am for pre-ride coffee. Following your ride, join in the festivities of Dublin Dr Pepper Days and help celebrate the 118th birthday of the oldest Dr Pepper bottling plant in the world. The ride will proceed at a social pace from the UT campus to the south this week for about 26 miles total. The route is mostly flat, but there will be a few hills near the end.<\/p>\n<p>East Side Hill Ride<br \/>\n9 AM, The Peddler Bike Shop 119 W. North Loop<br \/>\nHead out from the Peddler Bike Shop and enjoy the east side for some short, sharp climbs. Finish at Epoch for coffee. Please park on side of Musical Exchange or on Ave F side street. Distance: 32.5 mi. Join experienced and knowledgeable riders from Mellow Johnny\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s and Team Hotel San Jose for a friendly and moderately paced social ride (14-16mph average). This is a perfect chance to become more comfortable riding in a group, ask questions about pack riding or racing, meet other ladies like yourself who also enjoy riding, and keep up your fitness. We start at 5:30pm and will ride for 1-2 hours.<\/p>\n<p>Ride Like a Girl Women\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Mountain Bike Rides<br \/>\n6 PM, Walnut Creek Metropolitan Park, 12138 N Lamar Blvd<br \/>\nThe Austin Ridge Riders are hosting a five month program of weekly Monday evening women\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s mountain bike rides, plus weekend rides at local mountain bike trails\/parks. This is an opportunity to meet other women to ride with, learn new trails and learn new skills. Each ride will divide up into groups based on riders\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 abilities and speed and will have a beginner clinic\/ride, intermediate, and advanced group rides. Rides will last 1 &#8211; 2.5 hours. Prizes and gift certificates from our sponsors will be raffled away after every ride. All riders must wear a helmet, bring plenty of water, and have a trail-worthy bike in good working condition. Please arrive 15 minutes before the start time.<\/p>\n<p>Urban Transportation Commission Bicycle and Pedestrian Subcommittee<br \/>\n6 PM, City Hall, 301 West 2nd Street, Room #1029<br \/>\nThe Urban Transportation Commission advises the city council, city manager and all other transportation-related departments concerning transportation-related matters.
