\n The Dallas City Council is poised to scrap a helmet requirement for adult bicyclists.
\n A majority of council members voiced support Wednesday for retaining the helmet law only for riders younger than 17.
\n Two council members who are avid cyclists, Lee Kleinman and Philip Kingston, said they\u00e2\u20ac\u2122d like to see the helmet rules eliminated altogether.

\n SAN ANTONIO \u00e2\u20ac\u201d A man was critically injured early Thursday when he ran a red light on a bicycle and hit an SUV downtown, according to police.
