\nMy family moved to Rowlett in 1994 from Mesquite. I got my first car, a 1989 Plymouth Voyager minivan, in 1997. And I sold my last car, a Honda Civic, before I left for Peace Corps service in 2009.
\nWhen visiting my parents while living abroad, I took to riding my mom\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Townie to and from Rowlett\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s main commercial intersection at Rowlett Road and Lakeshore Parkway (State Highway 66).
\nI would bicycle the nearly two miles to the gym for a swim or to the store for groceries, but my favorite place was the Rowlett Public Library on Main Street to check out books and DVDs while staying with my parents.
