Bike patrol officer gets ride stolen downtown<\/a><\/h2>\n

Police catch suspect after short, wild chase
\nSAN ANTONIO \u00e2\u20ac\u201c A bike patrol officer found out what it\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s like to be a crime victim Friday night when a suspect leaped on his police bike and took off.
\nThe officer was on duty downtown around 9:30 p.m. when the suspect swiped his bike.
\nThe officer called dispatch to say he\u00e2\u20ac\u2122d just been ripped off, and he could see the suspect riding away headed north from Commerce and St. Mary\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s.
